The Interlake is an eighteen foot long sail boat that carries a jib, main and spinnaker. Usually it is sailed by two people. It was developed for sailing on Lake Erie, and is a very comfortable and nimble boat, and usually easy to transport.
Interlake spinnakers are noted for having very colorful sails, in varying colors and patterns. They wave and bob in the water like huge blossoms - a delightful sight.
This print by Esther is derived from a watercolor she painted of a spinnaker sailed on Lake Maxinkuckee for many years. There are several other water related prints on this site - Grand Haven Lighthouse and Little Sable Lighthouse - alike in size and matted in the same color. When considering purchasing, check them out because they display nicely together. |
